Beschrijving

Shauns leven zit op een dood spoor. Hij hangt met zijn beste vriend Ed in zijn stamkroeg The Winchester, maakt ruzie met zijn moeder en verwaarloost zijn vriendin Liz.

Als Liz het uitmaakt, besluit Shaun eindelijk zijn leven op orde te stellen. Hij wil zijn vriendin weer voor zich winnen, de kwesties met zijn moeder oplossen en proberen als een volwassen man zijn verantwoordelijkheden te dragen.

Het zit hem tegen, want de doden komen weer tot leven en stellen alles in het werk om de levenden op te peuzelen. Voor de hernieuwde geïnspireerde Shaun vormen zij slechts één obstakel meer. Geconfronteerd met een complete zombie-epidemie en gewapend met een knuppel en een schop trekt Shaun er samen met Ed op uit om zijn moeder te redden. Als het moet redt hij eventueel ook zijn stiefvader, zijn vriendin en als het echt niet anders kan zelfs haar vrienden David en Dianne, om hen allemaal over te brengen naar de veiligste plek die hij kent, The Winchester.
