Beschrijving

Het stadje Corinth is op sterven na dood sinds de plaatselijke staalfabriek haar poorten sloot. De enige hoop is de Japanse zakenman Sugita, die van plan is de staalfabriek te slopen en er een amusementspark voor in de plaats te bouwen. Dat zou nieuw leven kunnen blazen in het slaperige stadje. Maar dan wordt Sugita halfdood aangetroffen. Zijn Amerikaanse vrouw (bridget Fonda), een werkloze fabrieksarbeider (jeff Fahley) en een kleine jochie waren getuigen. Rechercheur Jack Ruhle (J.T. Walsh) probeert te achterhalen wat er precies gebeurd is, maar alledrie de getuigen vertellen een ander verhaal?
